The sky was quite nice when I got home from shooting at a 40th Wedding Anniversary.  I grabbed several sets of photos at various exposures and played with them in Photomatrix.  I think I got some nice results.

Finally had the opportunity to get the delightful Randi in from of my camera.  Then it started to rain and things got cut short.

Still, managed a few nice captures before the skies opened up.

I saw this old house in the distance a few years ago, just never had the chance to go explore it.  Finally had a chance today and went for a trip.  After a round trip of 4.5 miles on my mountain bike and 2.25 miles walking I finally reached my destination.  Not quite as nice as I was hoping, but it does have possibilities.

If only the damn bees weren’t hanging around.

I didn’t have too much to do today, so I went for a little walk out and about with my camera.  The biggest mistake was taking too much gear with me.  Only used one body and lens, but I had to carry my slingshot pack all the way.

The only good thing was that is was very easy to justify a nice cold beer at thwe end while working on the pictures.

Met up with some great people and had an enjoyable morning in Edmonton’s river valley and downtown.  Nice and warm, although a little bright for my liking.

I spent a few hours one evening shooting random candid photos at the 3 Edmonton screenings of the new thriller ‘The Corrupted’.  It will be hitting the film festival circuit this fall, so keep your eyes open for it.

Took part in a great group shoot under the Anthony Henday today.  Models, MUA, hair – and of course photographers.  A nice sunny day for the most part; with a very nice lightening show to drive home in.

In the Cemetery

If you do happen to go to UnDiscovered – I won’t be anymore – leave your camera at home.  They start throwing around ‘defamation of character’ if they don’t like a photo.

And to think, these are people who want to do public performances, and they can’t handle their onstage performances being accurately recorded and displayed.  To top it off, one of my photos was being used on their website, a commercial venture, without so much as a thanks for the photo.

It’s even better when you get a “cease and desist” type email and you go to their event’s Facebook site and someone is selling DVDs of the performances.  Guess I should have charged all the performers for the photos.
